Position Title: Piping Engineer
One of our client, a major oil and gas operation company is currently recruiting for the Bawal project in Indonesia. This will be a contract role, initial contract duration will be 1 year. This position is supposed to be on board in August, 2011.
NOTE: This position will be only open to Indonesian local candidates.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
Technically accountable for the piping design/engineering for the N.Belut facilities for all phases of the project. Ensure that the piping and layout design for the platforms is in compliance with the Basis of Design, relevant codes and specifications, and with project objectives of safety, maintainability, operability, and access. Technically accountable for the construction, erection, installation and testing of all piping systems associated with the N. Belut facilities. Provide active onsite assistance during platform fabrication to ensure that all piping systems and components are installed and tested in accordance with the design documents. Assist in resolution of queries, requests for deviation, and non-conformance assessments. Participate in the planning and execution of offshore commissioning and start-up. Responsible for supervision, development and coaching of national Piping Engineers. Comply with all Company safety, environment and ethics standards and requirements.

This includes concept optimization, development of equipment lists and data sheets, piping and material requirements, layouts, and all other mechanical documentation. Provide active, on-site assistance during platform fabrication by ensuring that the mechanical equipment and system components of the platforms are installed and tested in accordance with the design documents. Participate in offshore commissioning, start up, initial operational troubleshooting, and project closeout. Comply with Company's health, safety, and environment standards and requirements.
